Fukuoka Castle Ruins

Fukuoka Castle (Maizuru Castle) was one of the largest castles in western Japan. Though the main tower no longer exists, the extensive stone walls and remaining turrets offer a fascinating glimpse into Fukuoka's feudal past. The surrounding Maizuru Park is one of Fukuoka's best cherry blossom viewing spots with over 1,000 trees.
