Image sources
Most photos on the site come from Wikimedia Commons (CC0, CC-BY, CC-BY-SA), Unsplash, and Pexels — license-safe libraries with permissive terms. A small number are hand-licensed from photographers and credited inline. Where a Creative Commons licence requires attribution, the photographer's name and the licence appear on the page where the image is used.
Data sources
City and attraction coordinates come from OpenStreetMap (ODbL 1.0). Multilingual place names come from Wikidata (CC0). Descriptions are derived from Wikipedia (CC-BY-SA) and rewritten for travel context. Roadside-station data (michi-no-eki) will be sourced from the Japan Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) open dataset when that feature ships.
Maps
Tiles by OpenFreeMap, data from OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed under ODbL 1.0.
Open-source acknowledgments
