Kenroku-en Garden
Ishikawa
garden
Kenroku-en is one of the Three Great Gardens of Japan, along with Korakuen in Okayama and Kairaku-en in Mito. The name means 'Garden of Six Attributes' — referring to the six attributes that the ideal garden should possess: seclusion, antiquity, artistry, water, broad views, and solitude. The garden is particularly famous for its Yukitsuri technique of supporting pine branches with ropes in winter.
